We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Registered Nurse (RN) to join our team on a part-time or per diem basis to provide IV therapy and injection services to our patients. The ideal candidate will have a passion for delivering quality patient care, possess strong IV therapy skills, and be committed to learning the principles of functional medicine. This position may require travel and home care.

Responsibilities:

  • Compound and administer intravenous therapies as prescribed by healthcare providers, following clinic protocols and best practices.

  • Assess patient needs, monitor vital signs, and evaluate patient responses during IV therapy sessions.

  • Ensure the safety and comfort of patients throughout IV therapy procedures.

  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records, including treatment plans and progress notes.

  • Collaborate with healthcare providers to develop and adjust treatment plans based on individual patient needs.

  • Ensure that all equipment and supplies are maintained, stocked, and ready for use.

  • Comply with infection control, safety, and regulatory standards.

  • Educate patients on the benefits and potential side effects of IV therapies.

  • Provide compassionate and empathetic care, addressing patient concerns and questions.

  • Assist with maintaining a clean, organized, and welcoming treatment environment.

Qualifications:

  • Current and valid RN license in the state of Connecticut.

  • Minimum of one year of nursing experience, preferably with experience in IV therapy.

  • BLS (Basic Life Support) certification.

  • Strong IV therapy skills and knowledge of intravenous medications and protocols.

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

  • Ability to work effectively in a team and with healthcare providers.

  • Attention to detail and a commitment to providing quality patient care.

  • Knowledge of functional medicine principles is a plus but not required.

This is an immediate start part time position, and the RN will be scheduled on weekdays and weekends. Travel and home care may be required as part of the job responsibilities.
